My main interest within forest pathology lies within Phytophthora. I have been sampling symptomatic trees throughout southern Sweden to map the occurrence of Phytophthora in forested landscapes and parks.
My second interest is Heterobasidion and how forest management, including stump treatment and how it affects the pathogen.
Thirdly, I have been involved in the work within the pathology group which is aiming at identifying ash trees resistant to Hymenoscyphus fraxineus, or ash dieback.
I am thrilled to be a part of a team of pathologists working in fields related to those issues, with the potential to make new discoveries and in the end – to make a real difference.
