Martin Pettersson

My research focus is on forest health and protection. I have worked mainly with diagnosis of fungal and oomycete diseases in Christmas tree plantations.

I have studied the diversity of Phytophthora species responsible for loss of Fraser fir Christmas trees in the Southern Appalachian Mountains of eastern USA.

In Sweden, I have studied what disease, insect, mite and wildlife problems as well as nutrient deficiencies affect Swedish Christmas tree plantations.
