Diana Marčiulynienė

My research is in forest pathology (tree diseases) and mycology (diversity of wood-inhabiting fungi) as well as forest protection (prevention and control of tree diseases).

My research activities are concentrated on epidemiology, biological and ecological features of tree pathogens their population genetics as well as fungi-tree interactions. I use new diagnostic molecular tools for detection and investigating forest tree diseases in order to ensure the sustainable development of forests.

Also my studies have included evaluation of biological and chemical control of forest diseases and mechanisms by which trees defend themselves against plant pathogens.
